Projects/Tradie Growth System · v1

From a social-only profile to a custom site, gallery and structured quote pipeline.

Bazmo Services, an Adelaide painting and decorating business covering Salisbury, Elizabeth, Gawler, Mawson Lakes, Golden Grove, Tea Tree Gully and Modbury, moved from a social-only profile to a custom Next.js site with project gallery, suburb pages, and a structured quote-request flow. The build became the template for the Tradie Growth System.

The problem

Bazmo Services is a small Adelaide-based painting and decorating business. The work itself is high-quality, covers five service lines (interior painting, exterior painting, epoxy floor coating, designer wallpaper, and cabinetry wrapping), and is serviced across northern Adelaide suburbs including Salisbury, Elizabeth, Gawler, Mawson Lakes, Golden Grove, Tea Tree Gully and Modbury.

The problem was not the work. The problem was the surface area. Every prospective customer was meeting the business through social media or a passed-around phone number. There was no owned digital surface, which meant:

  • Quote enquiries arrived as DMs. Half a sentence in an Instagram message with no suburb, no scope, no photos, and no easy way to triage which jobs were worth quoting first.
  • Past work lived on a phone camera roll. Years of high-quality finishes were scattered across personal device storage, with no public gallery a customer could point at when deciding whether to book.
  • No discoverability. Someone searching “painter in Salisbury” would never find Bazmo because there was nothing for Google to index.
  • No trust signals. No ABN displayed anywhere, no insurance posture, no “here is what we actually do” page. Larger jobs require larger trust.

What Telova built

A custom Next.js site shaped to the way an Adelaide painter actually wins work, not a generic small-business template. Owned domain, owned data, structured quote pipeline, gallery designed for before-and-after work, and the local SEO foundation needed to be found in suburb searches.

Owned surface

Custom Next.js site on bazmoservices.com

A hand-built site, not a template. Hero section, services overview, project gallery, suburb-by-suburb service areas, a trust-signal block (fully insured, satisfaction guaranteed, fixed pricing, ABN displayed), and a clear call-to-action on every page. Mobile-first, because nearly every quote enquiry in this space starts on a phone.

Five service lines, one page each

A page for every service customers actually search

Painting (interior and exterior), epoxy floor coating, designer wallpaper installation, cabinetry wrapping, and decorating & cladding each get their own page with the language a homeowner would actually use to describe the job. This is the foundation that lets Google match the business to “wallpaper installer Adelaide” or “epoxy garage floor Mawson Lakes” queries.

Structured quote pipeline

Replace the DM with a real form

Quote requests now come through a structured form: name, phone, email, suburb, service requested, project description, and an optional photo upload. The owner sees the full context the moment the enquiry lands, instead of replying to “hi can you quote my place?” with three follow-up questions before a real conversation can start.

This single change collapsed the time-to-first-quote from a multi-day DM back-and-forth into a single same-day reply with enough information to actually price the job.

Trust signals

The things that win larger jobs

Fully insured. Satisfaction guaranteed. Fixed pricing. Quality materials. ABN displayed publicly. Service area listed explicitly. These are not slogans. They are the specific trust signals a homeowner reads before booking a tradie they have not met before for a job that may run into the thousands.

Gallery

Project work as proof

A real gallery of timber cladding, kitchen wrapping, designer wallpaper and interior finishes. The phone camera roll moved into a public, browsable, mobile-friendly gallery so future customers could see actual completed work before reaching out.

Why this project mattered

Bazmo was the proof-of-concept that turned into a productised offering. After shipping the site we kept noticing the same pattern across other tradies we spoke to:

  • Strong trade skill, weak digital surface.
  • Enquiries arrive through inconsistent channels with inconsistent quality of information.
  • Past work is invisible to future customers.
  • Local-search visibility is essentially zero.
  • Admin, accounting, email, reviews and follow-up are all bolted on later, never designed from day one.

The Bazmo build became the v1 template that every other tradie site we ship now builds on. Each new client gets the same structural foundation: custom site, gallery, suburb pages, structured quote pipeline, local SEO setup, plus the layers Bazmo did not need at the time (admin dashboard, multi-language, QR/NFC cards, Apple Wallet, automated review requests, CRM, accounting integration).

That packaged version is what Telova now calls the Tradie Growth System. Bazmo is where it started.

What this means for other tradies

If your business is winning work through DMs, word-of-mouth and a Facebook page, you are leaving real money on the table every month. A custom site with a structured quote pipeline, service-line pages, and local SEO foundations is the smallest unit of digital infrastructure that pays for itself.

We now ship that foundation, plus the optional CRM, accounting, email, QR/NFC card, Apple Wallet, automated review and lead-management layers, as a single packaged service. Pilot is in flight; the Bazmo build informs every architectural decision we are making in the productised version.
